AMRITSAR: A one-day capacity building workshop was conducted for teachers on the topic, ‘Happy classrooms’, under the aegis of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), by Bhavan’s SL Public School on Saturday.

A one-day capacity building workshop was conducted for teachers on the topic, ‘Happy classrooms’, under the aegis of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), by Bhavan’s SL Public School on Saturday.

It was attended by around 100 teachers from various CBSE schools of the district, including teachers from Bhavan. Rashmi Ahluwalia, principal of Montessori Cambridge School, Pathankot, was the resource person. Principal of the host school Dr Anita Bhalla welcomed the speaker.

The aim of the workshop was to create awareness among teachers on the importance of happiness and also discuss various strategies to be used to make classrooms happy. Various tasks and activities were also assigned to teachers and were emphasised to be used in classrooms as these helped students learn in an effective manner. Participants were also awarded with certificates.

Dr Balla proposed a vote of thanks at the end of the session.
