A day after the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) inspected the birth and death wing of the Municipal Corporation, the staff attended to office on holiday to clear pending cases but the server of e-sewa went down again, impacting their work.

There are around 1,300 applications pending before the wing. Though the sewa kendras are accepting applications, the MC is unable to clear all files due to issues in server. Officers of the department concerned claimed that the e-sewa server has not been running properly for long.

Dharminderjit Singh, incharge of the wing, said: “Our staff can clear around 200 files every day if the e-sewa server functions properly. Following the pendency, we are working till 7 pm daily and also attend the office on Saturday.”
