A dispute among neighbours led to a firing incident in Bhure Gill village, 20 km from here, four days ago. The Sadar police booked 20 persons on Tuesday. The police said Gurchet Singh Kaka, his brother Avtar Singh of Bhure Gill, Pinta, Sandhu and Monu of nearby Shekh village had been identified. The identity of others is yet to be ascertained. Sukhmanjit Singh of Bhure Gill mentioned in his police complaint that his neighbour Gurchet Singh had been sheltering suspicious persons so raised objections. He alleged that the accused entered his house and opened fire. — OC
