With the arrest of four persons, the city police on Saturday claimed to have solved an ATM theft case in which unknown thieves had decamped with Rs 19,000 by breaking open an ATM machine at the airport road on November 6.

Those arrested were identified as Gurdeep Singh, Kulwinder Singh, both residents of Jhanjhot village, Gurlal Singh of Kawe village and Jugraj Singh of Rai village.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Lakhbir Singh said the police recovered Rs 4,300 in cash and instruments used for damaging the ATM.
