Four-year-old raped, teenage boy nabbed

AMRITSAR:In a shocking incident, a four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a teenage boy, a resident of Kuralia village.

In a shocking incident, a four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a teenage boy, a resident of Kuralia village. 

The incident occurred at Baath village on Wednesday while the accused was arrested from Khatrai Kalan village here today when he was waiting for a bus to escape.

The Jhander police, falling under Amritsar rural police, have registered a case under Section 376, IPC, and Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, following the statement of the maternal aunt of the victim.

The complainant stated to the police that she along with her family and relatives used to work in the brick-klin belonging to Sukhdev Singh at Bhala pind village. She said her sister and her family including her four-year-old daughter and two-year-old son also lived with them. 

She alleged on Wednesday she along with her husband had gone to Kuralia village for some work while her sister had gone to buy a fan. She alleged that around 3 pm when she returned home, her brother-in-law was heavily drunk and sleeping in an unconscious manner. She said she went to the room of her sister where she found the accused in a compromising position. She said he had caught hold of her niece and was raping her. On seeing her, the accused fled away from the spot, she added. 

Harpal  Singh, SHO, Jhander police station, said the accused was arrested by the police from Khatrai Kalan village while the medical examination of the victim was conducted by a medical board of doctors.
