Amritsar, November 16

A day ahead of the Ranji trophy match between Punjab and West Bengal, members of the Amritsar Gaming Association and the Punjab Cricket Association stated they hoped that international cricket matches too would be organized in the city in near future.

The organizers stated that it was after a gap of 10 years that the famous Gandhi ground here would be hosting a Ranji trophy match. The second Ranji match between Punjab and Services would be played on November 25.
