GNDH nurses protest for job regularisation

Amritsar, February 14

Members of the nursing association of the state on Thursday took out a protest rally in Guru Nanak Dev Hospital (GNDH) here in support of contractual nurses, who have been protesting for regularisation of jobs.

Expressing solidarity with the contractual staff, leaders of the nursing association said that if the government did not regularise the service of contractual nurses, they would also join the protest.

Association president Narinder Buttar said the government was unnecessarily harassing and exploiting the employees. She said the regular staff would support contractual workers unless government acceded to their demands. — TNS
