The Guru Nanak Dev University Teachers Association (GNDUTA) today received a letter from office of the Vice-Chancellor (VC) inviting its members for a meeting on January 13. The letter came a day after the GNDUTA delegation was denied meeting with the VC.

In statement here today, the association stated after receiving the communiqué some its members went to meet the VC in the morning to request him to hold the meeting on ground floor as one of their member was physically challenged.

The association claimed, “However, members of the GNDUTA again found the gates locked today.”

It further stated that “The secretary of the GNDUTA received a letter from the VC’s office whereby he was informed that a meeting with association had been fixed for January 13 at 4 pm.”

They said as the office does not have a ramp it would be difficult for him to attend meeting on the first floor.
