After UNESCO included handmade copper and brass utensils, made by master craftsmen of Jandiala Guru village, near here, in the heritage list of intangible items, the state government has made arrangements to showcase these wares at Delhi’s Suraj Kund Mela and the PITEX fair here.



After UNESCO included handmade copper and brass utensils, made by master craftsmen of Jandiala Guru village, near here, in the heritage list of intangible items, the state government has made arrangements to showcase these wares at Delhi’s Suraj Kund Mela and the PITEX fair here. Deputy Commissioner Kamaldeep Singh Sangha said in cooperation with the United Sikh and Delhi’s Shri Ram College, the Thathera community of Jandiala Guru would showcase thier handmade copper and brass utensils. The Director of the Tourism Department, Shivdular Singh, said his department was encouraging these artisans to prepare dinner sets and ornament wares on orders. TNS
