Four arrested with heroin

Tarn Taran: Four persons have been arrested in separate cases for possessing heroin. As much as 159 gm of heroin has been seized from them. The police said a team, led by Sub-Inspector Sukhraj Singh, in charge of the local anti-narcotic staff, arrested Amritpal Singh of Suba Warring Singh and Gurjant Singh of Verowal Bawian with 55-gm heroin. The accused were on a motorcycle (PB02BE7378) when they were caught. Meanwhile, Naveen Kumar of Plasaur village was arrested with 54-gm heroin and Sarabjit Singh of Kirian village was caught for possessing 50-gm heroin. The accused have been booked under Sections 21, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act. OC
