SGPC to honour Bihar CM

AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) will honour Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his endeavours to celebrate the 350 anniversary of Parkash Purab of the 10th Sikh master, Guru Gobind Singh.

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) will honour Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his endeavours to celebrate the 350 anniversary of Parkash Purab of the 10th Sikh master, Guru Gobind Singh.

SGPC officials said Bihar Chief Minister would pay obeisance at Golden Temple on February 19. Nitish would also visit Gurdwara Shri Ber Sahib at Sultanpur Lodhi before coming to Amritsar.

The gurdwara at Sultanpur Lodhi is associated with the first Sikh master, Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The SGPC president Kirpal Singh Bandugar said the executive committee had decided to bestow special honour on Bihar CM for his contributions in celebrating the Parkash Purab in Patna Sahib. — TNS
