Six booked in firing case

Tarn Taran: The local police on Monday booked six residents of Machhike village, 40 km from here, in connection with a firing incident in which two persons — Kuldeep Singh and his uncle Gurpreet Singh — were injured. Sub-Inspector Balwinder Singh, who is investigating the case, said the accused had been identified as Harpreet Singh, Harpal Singh, Mahanbir Singh and Gurchet Singh while three were yet to be identified. A case under Sections 307, 323, 324, 148 and 149 of the IPC and Sections 25, 27, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act was registered against the accused. OC
