TEDx event tomorrow

The Indian Institute of Management, Amritsar, is all set to hold a TEDx event in the city on Wednesday. This will be the institute’s second such event in the holy city.

The theme of the event is ‘success is no accident. Thirteen speakers will reminisce their encounter with passion and the incidents that spurred them to achieve the success. The speakers will present talks from 10 am to 6 pm at Radisson Blu Hotel in Amritsar.

The IIM has sought an audience representing the institute, students, faculty and staff who are inspired by the ideas and interested in connecting with others who share the same passion for knowledge, as per the official release from the campus.

The eminent speakers include Avatar lila Das, Dr Mahesh Verma and Jadav Payeng, also known as forest man of India, who has single handedly grown a sprawling forest on a 550-hectare sandbar in the middle of the Brahmaputra. — TNS
