Two employees of finance firm robbed

AMRITSAR:Four unidentified miscreants looted Rs 13,450 and three mobile phones from two employees of a private finance firm at Jos Muhar village on July 27. A complaint in this regard was lodged with the police on Wednesday.

Four unidentified miscreants looted Rs 13,450 and three mobile phones from two employees of a private finance firm at Jos Muhar village on July 27. A complaint in this regard was lodged with the police on Wednesday. 

Sukhjit Singh (21), a resident of Marchur village in Batala, told that police that he and his friend Sarabjit Singh  worked with New Finance Company at Bharathwal Talwandi. 

Sukhjit said on July 27, when they were returning after collecting instalments, the accused with their faces covered came on two bikes intercepted them near Jos Muhar village. 

He added that the accused hit their motorcycle following which they fell down. Thereafter, the accused snatched a bag containing Rs 13,450 and three mobile phones at gunpoint from them, the complainant added. Sukhjit said they tried to identify and locate the accused on their own before lodging a complaint with the police here on Wednesday. 

A case under Section 379-B of the IPC and Sections 25, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act has been registered against the unidentified persons. 

Police officer Narpinder Singh, who is investigating the matter, said that they were verifying the facts provided by the victims. — TNS
