TARN TARAN: A resident of Benwalipur village, 15 km from here, has accused his wife of stealing cash and gold ornaments from his house and running away with her paramour.

A resident of Benwalipur village, 15 km from here, has accused his wife of stealing cash and gold ornaments from his house and running away with her paramour. Dilbag Singh, a granthi in the village, said his wife Paramjit Kaur took away Rs 10,000, gold ornaments and mobile phones.

According to him, her paramour is Lakhwinder Singh of Hardialewala (Faridkot). The incident took place two weeks ago and the case was registered on Saturday.

Dilbag said Lakhwinder Singh was a frequent visitor to his house as his brother Sukhwinder Singh was a member of his (Dilbagh’s) kirtani jatha. The police are hunting for the accused. — OC
