Ankur Public School, Sector 14, bagged overall team championship on the concluding day of the State Sub-juniors Artistic and Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship, at the Sector 7 Sports Complex.
Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, claimed the second position, while Bhavan Vidyalaya School, Sector 33, finished at the third spot.
Meanwhile, in the girls' U-14 category, Aavya Sahshi of Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, was named as best gymnast of the event. Vanshika and Eshaani Bhargava, both of Ankur School, claimed the second and third position, respectively.
In the hoop event, Vanshika claimed the gold medal, while Aavya finished at the second position. Eshaani claimed the third position. In the ball event, Aavya performed well to grab the first spot, followed by Gorakshi of KBDAV School, Sector 7, at second position. Sakshi of Government Model High School, Sector 43, and Arshnoor of St Stephen's School, Sector 45, claimed joint third position. Aavya won the gold medal in clubs event, while Gorakshi and Dharvi Sharma claimed the second and third position, respectively. In ribbon event, Vanshika of Ankur School won the top potation, while Ananya Attry of Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, claimed the second position. Gorakshi ended her campaign with claiming the third position.
Aryan also emerges best
Aryan of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 19, was named best gymnast of the boys’ U-14 category. Vishal of Government Model High School, Sector 43, finished at the second position, while Piyush of Government Model High School, Sector 29, claimed the third position.
Aryan won his first gold medal in the rings event, followed by Vishal at second position and Rohan of Government Model High School, Sector 43, at the third spot. In the floor event, Vishal claimed the top spot, while his school mate Aryan claimed the second position. Rahul Kori of Government Model High School, Sector 43, finished at the third position. Vishal won the top spot in the PH event, followed by Aryan at the second position and Kori at third.
In vault table, Aryan and Vishal claimed the top two positions, respectively, while Shubham Das of from AKSIPS, Sector 41, and Piyush of Government Model High School, Sector 29, claimed joint third position.
Aryan won the gold medal in HB event, while Piyush and Vishal claimed the second and third position, respectively. Meanwhile, in parallel bars, Aryan and Kori claimed first and second position, respectively. Vishal and Shauya Dhir claimed claimed joint third position.
