10-member Punjab ministry sworn in

CHANDIGARH:A 10-member SAD-BJP coalition ministry in Punjab, headed by Mr Parkash Singh Badal, was sworn in today at a public ceremony amidst scenes of jubilation at the Mohali cricket stadium.

Chandigarh, Feb 12  

A 10-member SAD-BJP coalition ministry in Punjab, headed by Mr Parkash Singh Badal, was sworn in today at a public ceremony amidst scenes of jubilation at the Mohali cricket stadium.Mr Badal, who led the alliance to a landslide victory, and nine members of his Cabinet were administered the oath of office and secrecy by the Governor, Lt-Gen BKN Chhibber (Retd.)

The nine Cabinet ministers include two from the BJP and six from the SAD and one Independent who, although a member of the SAD, could not get the party symbol during the contest.
