1 booked for filing false complaint against BDPO

BATHINDA: The police have booked a resident of Kangar village for lodging a false complaint against a Block Development Panchayat Officer (BDPO).



Bathinda, January 10

The police have booked a resident of Kangar village for lodging a false complaint against a Block Development Panchayat Officer (BDPO).

In a complaint lodged with the police, Sandeep Singh of Kangar village said Harmel Singh of the same village filed a complaint against the BDPO by forging his and Satnam Singh’s signatures.

Police officials at the Dyalpura police station said the accused lodge a fabricated complaint with the Election Commission in which he stated that the BDPO was supporting the SAD-BJP.

During the preliminarily investigation the complaint was found to be false. The accused has been booked under Sections 120-B, 419,465 and 471 of the IPC. Police officials said the accused was yet to be arrested. — TNS
