Six beat up driver, decamp with canter

Six unidentified persons have been booked for beating up a driver and his friend and fleeing away with their vehicle.

Six unidentified persons have been booked for beating up a driver and his friend and fleeing away with their vehicle.
Both the victims were carrying paddy to Jalalabad.
Investigation Officer ASI Kashmir Singh said as per the statement given by Najam Singh, a resident of Maur Kalan, he, along with his friend, Ranjit Singh, was on his way to Jalalabad in his vehicle Tata 1109(HR 57 3784). Near Buladhawala village one pick up van without number plate intercepted.
Six persons came out of the van and broke the glasses of their vehicle with rods and sharp-edged weapons. They tied their hands and locked them in a room constructed on a nearby motor. Later, they fled away along with the canter worth Rs 6.50 lakh.
“A case has been registered under Sections 382,341,427,342 and 140 of the Indian Penal Code at the Sadar police station and the investigations are on,” said the ASI.
