For cops in some dists, Arora remains the DGP

MUKTSAR: Even though Dinkar Gupta, a 1987 batch IPS officer, on Thursday was appointed as the Director General of Police, Punjab, for police officials in some districts, including Muktsar, Bathinda, Fazilka, Ferozepur, Mansa and Mohali, Suresh Arora is still the state police chief.

Even though Dinkar Gupta, a 1987 batch IPS officer, on Thursday was appointed as the Director General of Police, Punjab, for police officials in some districts, including Muktsar, Bathinda, Fazilka, Ferozepur, Mansa and Mohali, Suresh Arora is still the state police chief.

The police of these districts have displayed the photograph of Arora as the DGP, along with his message on their official website.

Barnala and Moga districts are, however, an exception to it, taking a lead in updating the website. The police in these districts have updated Dinkar Gupta as the DGP, Punjab, uploaded his photo and message to the public.
