BATHINDA: The police have arrested four persons accused of preparing fake certificates and degrees here today.

Bathinda, March 28

The police have arrested four persons accused of preparing fake certificates and degrees here today.

The police have also recovered 136 fake certificates of various universities and school boards from their procession.

The accused were identified as Harsh, Davinder Kumar, Tarsem Kumar and Tarun Kumar alias Prince. The fifth accused, Ashok Kumar of Ellanabad, is still at large.

While addressing the media, SP City Balraj Singh said, “We have busted a gang, which was involved in preparing fake certificates and degrees. The police have recovered 79 certificates from Tarun Kumar, 53 certificates from Tarsem Kumar and four certificates from other accused.”

The SP city said raids were on to nab the fifth accused. Of the 136 fake certificates that were recovered from the accused, 15 of Thiruvalluvar University, Tamil Nadu; five of Karnataka State Open University; four of Delhi Board of Senior Secondary Education; four of Jaipur National University and 94 certificates of National Institute of Rural Open University.
