Pingalwara founder remembered

AMRITSAR: Pingalwara Charitable Society organised a talk for the students of Bhavans SL Public School as a part of its educational programme.

Pingalwara Charitable Society organised a talk for the students of Bhavans SL Public School as a part of its educational programme. Under the guidance of Dr Inderjeet Kaur, director, All India Pingalwara Charitable Society, who briefed the students about the activities of Pingalwara, including the organic farms and school for special athletes.

She also informed them about the life of Bhagat Puran Singh, who was the inspiration behind the establishment of the dedicated society to help poor, distressed and homeless people. “We need more examples like him in our society today,” said Dr Inderjit Kaur.

“The purpose of the programme was to interact with the students and make the young generation aware about the unsung heroes, who will cast a positive impact on their minds,” she said.
