Rs 1.15 cr proposals to be tabled in MC meet

BATHINDA: The Municipal Corporation of Bathinda has called a meeting of its Finance & Contract Committee (F&CC) on Monday. Eight proposals of around Rs 1.15 crore would be tabled for approval.

The Municipal Corporation of Bathinda has called a meeting of its Finance & Contract Committee (F&CC) on Monday. Eight proposals of around Rs 1.15 crore would be tabled for approval.

Approval would also be given to declare Bathinda open defecation free in the meeting as the process has been completed.

A proposal for giving land near Rose Garden to the Forest Department in compensation to the land asked by the MCB to built a water tank in the city would also discussed in the meeting.

Other items, which would be taken up in the meeting, are laying of interlocking tiles at a cost of Rs 20.71 lakh at Vishal Nagar, laying of road at a cost of Rs 4.82 lakh in the ward of former councillor Shanti, renovation of foundation at the cost of Rs 3.68 lakh near the CIA staff office, laying of interlocking tiles at a cost of Rs 18.39 lakh at Awa Basti and construction of roads in Ward Number 37 at a cost of Rs 44.99 lakh.

It is expected that green signal would be given to issue work order for these projects during the meeting.

An F&CC meeting was also called on June 13 earlier this month, but most of the items were kept pending over confusion that some projects had been taken over by the Bathinda Improvement Trust. — TNS
