Prices of most vegetables today remained stable in city markets. Dealers attributed the stability in prices to sufficient supply.

They claimed that the rain lashing the region for the past four days might hit the supply of the vegetables and fruit in the coming days, which may result in increase in prices.

A survey of the market showed that onion was available at Rs 10 while street vendors are selling it at Rs 15-17 per kg.

The price of peas is Rs 50 per kg in the vegetable market while street vendors are selling it at Rs 60 per kg.

Cucumber prices have seen a slight hike as it is available at Rs 20 per kg in the vegetable market and sold at Rs 25 per kg by vendors.

Potatoes are available at Rs 7-8 per kg while street vendors sell it at Rs 10-12 per kg.

The price of tomatoes is Rs 18-20 per kg in the vegetable market while street vendors sell at Rs 25-27 per kg.

The price of French beans is Rs 50 per kg in the vegetable market while street vendors sell it at Rs 60 per kg.

Pumpkin is available at Rs 10 per kg in the vegetable market but sold at Rs 15 per kg by vendors. Ladyfingers are sold at Rs 30 per kg in the vegetable market and sold at Rs 40 per kg by vendors.

Bottle gourd is sold at Rs 15 per kg but vendors sell it at Rs 20 per kg. — TNS
