Patiala, June 1

The Patiala Health Department has vaccinated 3,80,488 children under the Measles-Rubella (MR) campaign.

Civil Surgeon Harish Malhotra said Patiala had covered 78 per cent of the total target of 4,91,000 children. More than 90 per cent of the students studying in the schools in the district had been vaccinated with the coordination and support of the District Administration and the Education Department, he added.

He said as most of the schools were now closed due to summer vacations, now health teams would carry out vaccination in slum areas.

He said those children who had not been vaccinated in the schools due to any reason could get the vaccination at government hospital and dispensaries.
