CH01 BU: 0001 fetches Rs 7.06 lakh

The much sought-after number, 0001, was sold for Rs 7.06 lakh in an e-auction of the CH01 BU series, which concluded this evening. In the last auction, the same number was sold for Rs 4.8 lakh. The Registering and Licensing Authority (RLA) has earned Rs 73 lakh from the auction of 240 numbers. 

This time, 0001 was bought by a real estate company, Gupta Builders and Promotors Private Limited, for a Mercedes car. Interestingly, 0003 fetched the second highest amount of Rs 3.7 lakh.

The other numbers which fetched high prices are 0009 (Rs 3.55 lakh), 0005 (Rs 3.51 lakh), 0007 (Rs 3.11 lakh), 0002 (Rs 2.93 lakh), 0004 

(Rs 2.81 lakh) and 0008 (Rs 2.02 lakh).

The reserve price of 0001 was Rs 50,000 while it was Rs 30,000 for the other fancy numbers up to 10. The successful bidders will be required to get their vehicles registered as well as to deposit the balance bid amount within one month from the date of auction
