Chandigarh Marathon on April 1

The Chandigarh Marathon will be held here on April 1, the organisers said here today.

The sixth edition of the marathon will aim at making Chandigarh a better place to live, the organisers said, adding that the theme for the upcoming event will be: “Go for it. Run for a better future”. 

The Chandigarh Marathon will witness local authorities and celebrities come together to discuss with the residents the practices that can prepare the city towards a better future and contribute in making it a smart city, they added. 

The marathon starting from the Chandigarh Club grounds will be divided into two parts — 5km fun run for general public and 21km half marathon for professional runners. 

Intending participants can register for event at www. bigchandigarhmarathon.com.  

The 5km fun run is open to all and interested participants can enroll by giving a missed call on toll free number 1800 137 1927, the organisers added.
