Chandigarh: CL Aggarwal DAV Model School organised a clean to green awareness programme on e-waste management.



Chandigarh: CL Aggarwal DAV Model School organised a clean to green awareness programme on e-waste management. To encourage students to keep their surroundings clean and green, activities such as quiz, poster-making competition and skit were organised. Students were told how e-waste could be recycled and used in a distinctive way without harming the environment. Principal Sunita Ranyal was also present on the occasion.

Vedic Girls Sr Sec School 

Mani Majra: A mock fire and evacuation drill involving students and fire-fighters was conducted at Vedic Girls Senior Secondary School to create awareness among students about fire-fighting techniques and ways to respond swiftly in times of such an emergency. Sub-fire officer Anil Sharma along with Gurmit Gill and  Mahesh Hawaldar from the fire extension station, Mani Majra, organised the mock drill. They explained and demonstrated various improvised methods being followed by them to rescue and evacuate people caught in an emergency situation, besides ways to operate fire extinguishers safely. 

Jitender Veer Sarvhitkari school

Mohali: Five players  of Jitender Veer Sarvhitkari Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 71, have been selected for the 46th Junior National and Inter- State Carom Championship, which will be held at Nagpur. TNS

SKY World School

Panchkula: A session was organised by motivational TEDx speaker,  author and ex- IAS officer, Vivek Atray, at SKY World School. In his talk, Atray covered the topic “Emotionally intelligent leadership” so that teachers could adopt a calm, but firm personality while dealing with  students and handle stress in a rightful manner without distorting their professional as well as personal life. 

ATS Valley School

Dera Bassi: An inter-house English poetry competition was held for students of Class V and VI at ATS Valley School. Nyaya and Sanyam houses shared the first position while second spot was jointly bagged by Saahas and Vivek houses. In an inter-house Hindi poetry competition for students of Classes VII to X  Sanyam house got first position, Nyaya house came second and Vivek house bagged the third spot while Saahas house stood fourth. —TNS
