MOHALI:A cyclist died in a hit-and-run incident near Bhago Majra village, here, today.



Mohali, February 18

A cyclist died in a hit-and-run incident near Bhago Majra village, here, today.

The victim, identified as Dilbagh Singh (55), was working as a security guard at a banquet hall in Zirakpur.

He was returning to his home in Morinda after his duty when a cab hit him at around 7 am today.

As per sources, he died on the spot and the cab driver fled the spot along with his vehicle.

Inspector Manjit Singh, Station House Officer, Sohana police station, said the registration number plate of the car fell down at the spot during the accident.

“We have recovered the number plate. Tomorrow, we would locate the owner of the cab,” the SHO said.

A case under Section 304-A has been registered against the driver of the cab at the Sohana police station. — TNS
