Football meet from tomorrow

St. Soldier International School, Sector 28, will organise Inter-school Football Trophy on the its premises from May 18 to 20. A total of 14 teams from various tricity schools will be participate in the tournament, the organisers said on Tuesday. The matches will be played on knockout basis, they added. 

Daksh, Bharat clinch titles 

Daksh overcame Maaliha 6-5 to win the combine U-10 title on the concluding day of Open Tennis Tournament held at St. Soldier’s School, Sector 16, in Panchkula. Earlier in the semifinals, Daksh had blanked Maulik 5-0, while Maaliha drubbed Priyanshu 5-1. Bharat, meanwhile, won the boys’ U-12 final after registering a 6-0 win over Varyam. In the semifinals, Varyam overcame Rakshit 5-3, while Bharat beat Jashn 5-1. In the boys’ U-14 category Paras blanked Jashn Gupta 6-0. Earlier, Paras had beat Mayank 5-1 to enter the final. Jashn had overcome Minni 5-3.

2-day roller skating carnival  in Panchkula from May 20

Rolling Tigers Skating Academy will organise a two-day Open Speed Carnival from May 20 at Manav Mangal High School, Sector 11, in Panchkula. Around 400 skaters from across the region have confirmed their participation, the academy said on Tuesday. The rink races and road races will be conducted for U-4 to 16 plus age category, they added. The interested skaters can confirm their entries with the organisers before May 18 at the tournament venue.
