CHANDIGARH:Hanuman Club boys will face Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Maloya, in the kabaddi finals at the Sector 42 Sports Complex on Thursday.

Hanuman Club boys will face Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Maloya, in the kabaddi finals at the Sector 42 Sports Complex on Thursday.  

On the penultimate day of the Kho-Kho and Kabaddi U-17 Championship, Hanuman Club drubbed Jeet Club, Ramdarbar, 42-4 to enter the final. 

In another semifinal, GMSSS, Maloya, registered a 34-24 victory over Government Model Senior Secondary School, Dhanas. 

Meanwhile, in the girls’ category, Government High School, Sector 54, humbled Government Model High School, Sector 41, 35-15 to set up the title clash with GMSSS, Dhanas, who overpowered Government Model High School, Sector 7, 32-10. 

In the boys’ kho-kho event, Government Model High School, Sector 32, registered a 13-4 victory over Unified Club to book a place in the final.

In the final, the side will face Shri Guru Gobind Singh School (SGGS), Sector 35, which defeated Coaching Centre, Sector 42, 10-4. 

In the girls’ kho-kho semifinals, Government Model High School, Sector 7, overcame SGGS Khalsa School, Sector 35, in a nail biting finish. The side won 7-6. 

Coaching Centre, Sector 42, outplayed Government Model High School, Sector 32, 8-2 in the other semifinal. 

The finals will be held at the Sector 42 Sports Complex from 5pm on Thursday.
