Int’l artistes enthral audience with ragas

CHANDIGARH: The rich splendour and magnificence of the Indian classical music was accorded a testimony as renowned International musicians Aasya from Russia and Pablo Grace from Argentina on flute and tabla, mesmerised the audience in the 249th special baithak programme organised by the Pracheen Kala Kendra on Saturday.

The rich splendour and magnificence of the Indian classical music was accorded a testimony as renowned International musicians Aasya from Russia and Pablo Grace from Argentina on flute and tabla, mesmerised the audience in the 249th special baithak programme organised by the Pracheen Kala Kendra on Saturday.

The duo chose ‘raga hansadhwani’ and bared its melody through alaap, jod, jhalla and expansion (badhat) with perfection. They concluded the concert by doling out a composition (gat) in raga durga set to madhya lya in jhap tal amidst applause. Kendra registrar Dr Shobha Koser and Sajal Koser honoured the artistes. — OC
