Kin hand over Tanishq’s second laptop to cops

PANCHKULA:In a case relating to the death of 19-year-old SD College student Tanishq Bhasin, his family handed over one more laptop of the deceased to the police.

In a case relating to the death of 19-year-old SD College student Tanishq Bhasin, his family handed over one more laptop of the deceased to the police. Earlier, the police had recovered a laptop from the bag that was found in the car in which Tanishq’s body was found.

Confirming the development, Panchkula ACP Noopur Bishnoi said the family had given us one more laptop. It would be sent to the cyber lab for further examination.

Meanwhile, Tanishq’s mother Sweeti Bhasin, who had recently returned from Singapore, ruled out Blue Whale Challenge angle in her son’s death.

While talking to mediapersons at her residence, she said her son was even afraid of going out alone in dark. “My son cannot commit suicide and Blue Whale angle is also not there,” she said.

“Tanishq was not even fond of eating chips. He usually writes morning wake notes for her after finishing his late-night studies and there was nothing unusual in the notes found in his notebook. There is no Blue Whale angle,” Sweeti said.

Sources said the note related to dry vest was there because he was facing some skin problem.

The police had found a packet of chips in Tanishq’s car. Besides, a two-page note — “Wake me at 7.30 am sharp” and “Let my vest dry here” — was found from his notebook.

The family has also informed the police about the missing money (Rs 99,000), which was with Tanishq. The money was of rent collected by Tanishq from the Chandigarh property and fees for coaching. Tanishq was searching for good institute for preparing for civil services.


Former sarpanch questioned twice

The police questioned former sarpanch, whose NRI brother is the owner of the German-made sophisticated weapon, used in the crime. First, he was questioned in Fatehgarh Sahib and later he was grilled in Panchkula. He had disclosed that the weapon was very old. Therefore, on September 6, 2016, he deposited it at the Khamano police station in Fatehgarh Sahib district. On September 28, 2016, the former sarpanch had submitted a complaint at the same police station that after the weapon was released to him, he lost it. The police had lodged a case in connection with the lost weapon.

Candlelight march tomorrow

Demanding a CBI probe into the death of Tanishq Bhasin, his friends have created a Facebook page #JusticeForTanishqBhasin. The page, which was created on Friday, already has more than 200 likes. In the page, tricity residents were appealed to join a candlelight march on November 19 evening at the Sector 17 Plaza. In the page, it was demanded to transfer the probe from Panchkula police to the CBI.
