Panchkula, September 21

Dyal Kishan Tiwari (46), a resident of Sector 19, was found dead at his residence early this morning.

On a complaint of Tiwari’s mother, the police have booked his former wife Deepa and her father Devi Dutt, both residents of Rajpura, under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Tiwari, who was living with his old mother, had divorced his wife a few years ago following a marital dispute.

As per the complaint, Deepa came to meet him at his residence along with her father and two other people. They allegedly entered into a scuffle with Tiwari, who suffered injuries.

Later, he slept in his room and complained of bodyache. Early this morning, he was found dead.

The police have shifted Tiwari’s body to the mortuary at the General Hospital, Sector 6, Panchkula. The postmortem will be conducted on Friday by a board of doctors that will help ascertain the cause of Tiwari’s death.

Sector 20 station house officer (SHO) Vikas Kumar said they had booked the deceased’s former wife and her father for the murder. The police are conducting raids to nab the accused.
