MOHALI: In a hit-and-run case, a 50-year-old person died near Firozpur village at Mullanpur here.



Mohali, July 21

In a hit-and-run case, a 50-year-old person died near Firozpur village at Mullanpur here. Jogi Dass, a native of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, was crossing the road when an unidentified vehicle hit him and sped away.

He was rushed to the PGI, Chandigarh, by some passerby where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

A case under Section 279 (rash driving) and 304A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at the Mullanpur police station in this connection. —TNS
