Manveer fashions Doon School victory

CHANDIGARH:Doon International School, Mohali, registered a 10-wicket win over Swami Ramtirath School, Mohali, in an Envolve U-15 Championship match here today.

Doon International School, Mohali, registered a 10-wicket win over Swami Ramtirath School, Mohali, in an Envolve U-15 Championship match here today. 

Batting first, Swami Ramtirath School were all out for 36 runs in 9.2 overs. Gurvinder Singh (11) was the lone batsman to score in double digits. 

Manveer, Lakshay and Robin took two wickets each for Doon School.

In reply, Doon School scampered home in 3.1 overs. Manveer remained not out on 17, while Navjot scored an unbeaten 14.

In the second match of the day, St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, defeated Guru Nanak Public School (GNPS), Sector 26, by 10 wickets. 

Batting first, the GNPS scored 86/6 in 15 overs. Harsh made 18, while Ranesh chipped in with 14 runs. 

Pranav Kaushal was the most effective bowler for St Joseph’s, claiming 3/17. Ranvijay Singh and Ishaan Gaba picked a wicket each. 

In reply, the St Joseph’s achieved the target in 8.3 overs. Ranvijay Singh hit an unbeaten 39, while Aksh Rana remained not out on 37. 

Yesterday, Learning Paths School, Mohali, had defeated Shishu Niketan Public School, Sector 43, by 10 wickets. 

Batting first, Shishu Niketan scored a below-par 69/4 in the allotted 15 overs. Aryan made 22, while Nikhil added 19 runs to the total. 

In reply, Learning Paths rode on Suryam’s unbeaten 49-run knock to reach home in 8.5 overs. Chaitanya remained not out on 14.
