CHANDIGARH:The Sahayta Bal Cancer Sahyog welcomed the festive season with a musical bonanza for the kids afflicted with cancer admitted to the Advanced Pediatric Centre, PGIMER.

The Sahayta Bal Cancer Sahyog welcomed the festive season with a musical bonanza for the kids afflicted with cancer  admitted to the Advanced Pediatric Centre, PGIMER. Students of Strawberry World School performed performed during the event. A puppet show was also organised to make the day extra special. Among the PGIMER faculty, Dr AK Bhalla , Dr Amita Trehan and Dr Deepak Bansal participated in the event . The event was sponsored by the women of a book club.

Cultural event for old-age home inmates

Chandigarh: A musical cultural programme was organised for the inmates of the old-age home in Sector 15 here on Saturday. The event was the initiative of the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) as part of its senior citizens week celebrations. On the occasion, Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) presented classical songs with their musical instruments and the inmates were served refreshments later.  The programme was inaugurated by VK Kalra, Member Power, BBMB. Seniors BBMB functionaries were present. The BBMB also celebrated the week at all project stations. Free health check-up camps were also organised. TNS
