Nation will see riots if Modi govt retains power: Sisodia

Chandigarh: “India will witness riots similar to those that took place in Afghanistan and Syria if BJP leaders Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are re-elected and again form the government at the Centre,” said senior AAP leader and Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia while interacting with mediapersons at the residence of the party candidate, Harmohan Dhawan, here today.

“India will witness riots similar to those that took place in Afghanistan and Syria if BJP leaders Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are re-elected and again form the government at the Centre,” said senior AAP leader and Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia while interacting with mediapersons at the residence of the party candidate, Harmohan Dhawan, here today.

Sisodia said Modi and Shah’s jodi is the biggest threat to the nation right now. “The BJP foments trouble among Hindu and Muslims in the country and it is necessary to defeat its leaders,” he said.

Questioned over AAP’s stance after the elections, Sisodia said they would support any non-BJP government to keep Modi and Shah out of power.

Sisodia failed to answer to a question as why city residents should vote for AAP, as the party leaders and workers did not show up here after losing the election in 2014.

“AAP is contesting the election in the city on the basis of works done by Dhawan,” said Sisodia while urging the electorate to vote for the party to bring a change in the city.

Having a dig at MP Kirron Kher of the BJP, the AAP leader said she didn’t do anything for the city as she was busy with her shooting assignments.

Meanwhile, Sisodia did not campaign for Dhawan in the city. After addressing media, he left for Mohali to take part in a roadshow there.
