Kashmiri student attacked in college

KHARAR: Mansoor Ahmed, a 20-year-old student from Anantnag district, Jammu and Kashmir, was allegedly attacked in a college at Gharuan on Friday evening.

Mansoor Ahmed, a 20-year-old student from Anantnag district, Jammu and Kashmir, was allegedly attacked in a college at Gharuan on Friday evening.

Mansoor, who is a BBA first semester student at the Adesh Institute and Technology, Gharuan, told the police that he resides in FRD block in the college and was thrashed by unknown person.

He said he was filling a water bottle from the cooler at around 7.30 pm and suddenly someone attacked at his neck with a stick.

He alleged that the accused who was wearing a red turban attacked him with a sharp weapon and kicked in the stomach. He told the police that he took admission in the college almost a week ago. Mansoor was admitted at a hospital in Gharuan.

The Kharar Police have registered a case under Section 323 and 324 of the IPC against unknown person. — OC
