Patiala: The ninth Norah Richards National Theatre Festival kicked off with play ‘Talaaq’, staged by accomplished actors of Sarthak Rangmanch Patiala, at Punjabi University’s Kala Bhawan on Friday.

Patiala, November 30

The ninth Norah Richards National Theatre Festival kicked off with play ‘Talaaq’, staged by accomplished actors of  Sarthak Rangmanch Patiala, at Punjabi University’s Kala Bhawan on Friday. The play, while articulating feminist concerns, captured several phases of the life of  young orphan engineer Guri.  The festival was being organised by the Sarthak Rangmanch in collaboration with North Zone Cultural Centre, Punjab Sangeet Natak Academy, Punjabi Academy, New Delhi and Punjabi University’s Youth Welfare Department. — TNS
