Panchkula, June 21

Over 3,000 people participated in the International Day of Yoga function held at Parade Ground, Sector 5, here, today.

Haryana Assembly’s Deputy Speaker Santosh Yadav was the chief guest on the occasion. People from different age groups participated in the event.

Meanwhile, Panchkula DC Gauri Prashar Joshi, ADC Rajesh Jogpal and DCP Ashok Kumar were present at the function, but did not perform yoga asanas.

Biometric attendance 

The District Administration had made arrangements for biometric attendance of government employees. Sources revealed that verbal instructions were issued to government employees to remain present at 

the venue and their attendance was checked 

through biometric attendance machines.

Drone photography

The administration had also engaged drone camera for clicking photos of yoga participants. During the yoga session, drone was flying over participants and clicking their photos.  — TNS
