Patient jumps to death from hospital building

AMBALA:A 38-year-old man who was admitted to a private hospital in Mullana allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the second floor of the hospital building here this morning.

A 38-year-old man who was admitted to a private hospital in Mullana allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the second floor of the hospital building here this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Puran Chand (38), a resident of Yamunanagar. According to information, Puran jumped from the second floor of the C block of MMU Hospital in Mullana.

Puran, who was stated to be mentally upset, died on the spot. His room was on the second floor of the building. The deceased was also reportedly suffering from kidney and liver-related diseases. He was admitted to the hospital on December 2.

The body has been handed over to the family after post-mortem examination. The police have started proceedings. — TNS
