Panjab University Senate by-election for the post of Heads of Affiliated Arts Colleges was held here today.
The post got vacant after the demise of Principal Hardaljit Singh Gosal, Govind National College, Narangwal, Ludhiana,
Two candidates — Paramjit Singh, Principal, Government College, Hoshiarpur, and Sunil Khosla, Principal, PU Constituent College, Balachaur — contested for the same.
Paramjit Singh won the poll by geeting 31 votes against 27 for Khosla. His election will remain valid till October 31, 2020.
