CHANDIGARH:Sahil claimed a four-for as The British School, Sector 44, defeated St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, by eight wickets in The Tribune Inter-School T20 Cricket Cup final here on Monday.

Chandigarh, February 4 

Sahil claimed a four-for as The British School, Sector 44, defeated St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, by eight wickets in The Tribune Inter-School T20 Cricket Cup final here on Monday. 

Electing to bat, St Joseph’s boys were restricted to 87/7, courtesy a fine bowling spell by Sahil. The youngster returned with figures of 4/16. 

Aaryan Sharma (31) did the bulk of scoring St Joseph’s.   

In reply, The British School scampered home with eight wickets to spare. Ansh hit an unbeaten 31-ball 40, while Ronjodh Singh remained not out on  36. Ishan claimed both the wickets to fall in The British School innings. 

Sangeeta Jaura, vice-chancellor, Chitakara University (Rajpura), gave away the prizes to the winners. 

The British School received a cash prize of Rs 11,000, while the runners-up got Rs 5,500.
