Chandigarh: The Primary and Pre Primary sections of Sharda Sarvhitkari Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 40, Chandigarh, celebrated its annual sports day on Saturday.



Chandigarh: The Primary and Pre Primary sections of Sharda Sarvhitkari Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 40, Chandigarh, celebrated its annual sports day on Saturday. The event commenced with Saraswati Vandana. Councillor Gurbax Rawat was the chief guest on the occasion. After the flag hoisting, was the march past, which was impressive in its synchronization.

Shishu Niketan-22

Chandigarh: Students of Shishu Niketan Model Sr Sec School, Sector 22, participated in various activities to commemorate the birth anniversary of late Suchinta Khorana, founder principal of the school. A poster-making competition was organised for students. Komal won the first prize, Anusha Dhiman second and third prize was won by Drishti. A rally was also organised on the occasion. The rally was flagged off by Principal Amita Khorana.

St Mary's School-46

Chandigarh: Students of Class IX of St Mary's School, Sector 46, Chandigarh, organised a farewell for the outgoing batch of Class X in a special function held on the school campus. The host class presented specially designed good-luck cards and bouquets to their seniors. Class IX students presented wonderful dances and enthralled the audience. School chairman Rev Fr Yakob Baby enlightened the students with his inspirational speech. Principal Jose P Thomas blessed the outgoing batch and extended his good wishes to them for a bright, successful and prosperous future. Umang and Jasmine Kaur of Class X were selected as Mr and Miss St Marian, respectively.

Aanchal International School-41

Chandigarh: The annual athletes meet-cum-inter-school competition was organised at Aanchal International School, Sector 41, Chandigarh. The junior wing participated in various events, including hurdle race, cotton ball race, balancing ball race, and the senior wing participated in skipping race, fast walk, 400m etc.

The Millennium School

Mohali: The second annual sports meet of The Millennium School, Mohali, was organised with great verve and camaraderie. Harinder Singh Sekhon, a police officer, title holder of Mr. India four times and renowned wrestler; and Wing Commander Surinder Bindra graced the occasion with their presence. The programme initiated with the march past, flag bearing and oath-taking ceremony in presence of Principal Jasleen Kaur Sabharwal. Students displayed a wide array of colourful events. They mesmerised the audience with their energetic and fun-filled races and drills. Akash House was adjudged the Best House. Mannel, Pradum and Aman Dwivedi were adjudged the best athletes. 

St Joseph's Sr Sec School-44

Chandigarh: To improve the communication skills, a story-telling competition was organised for students of KG at St Joseph's Sr Sec School, Sector 44, Chandigarh. All participants narrated their stories enthusiastically with proper gestures and expressions. TNS
