Snatching: 3 students nabbed

Chandigarh, January 18

Three students have been arrested for snatching a purse from an woman advocate in Sector 22 on January 15. All three, riding an Alto car, had snatched the purse from the advocate while she was walking towards her residence. The purse contained Rs 10,000 in cash and important documents. 

The accused have been identified as as Sarauv Dhiman (20), a resident of 46 and a second-year student at a private college;   Akshay Sharma (19) a resident of Sector 47 and a BA second-year student at Panjab University (PU); and Paras Ghbir (19), a resident of Sector 46.  On finding the woman alone, they decided to snatch her purse. The victim has identified the accused. They were produced a court, which sent them to judicial custody. — TNS
