Stalking case against Sohana resident

ZIRAKPUR:Acting on the complaint of a woman, the police here booked a resident of Sohana village in Mohali under Sections 294 (singing, reciting or uttering any obscene song, ballad or words in or near any public place), 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 354-D (stalking) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.

Acting on the complaint of a woman, the police here booked a resident of Sohana village in Mohali under Sections 294 (singing, reciting or uttering any obscene song, ballad or words in or near any public place),  341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 354-D (stalking) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. 

The woman, a resident of Sohana village, told the police that on February 14, she, along with her brother-in-law Jasveer Singh was going towards Chandigarh on a scooter, when suspect Mahinder Singh, who is also a resident of Sohana vllage, started following them and hurled abuses.

The woman alleged that the suspect intercepted their vehicle and made a video of them. He uploaded the video on a social networking site. 

Going with the statement of the woman, the police have registered a case. The suspect is yet to arrested.
