Strawberry boys beat Stepping Stones 3-1

CHANDIGARH:Divij Singh scored a brace as Strawberry Fields School, Sector 26, registered a 3-1 win over Stepping Stones School in the boys’ U-17 Pre-Subroto Cup here today.

Divij Singh scored a brace as Strawberry Fields School, Sector 26, registered a 3-1 win over Stepping Stones School in the boys’ U-17 Pre-Subroto Cup here today. Playing at Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 37, Strawberry Fields took the lead in the 22nd minute through Safal. Divij then struck twice in a span of seven minutes — 28th and 34th — to ensure an easy win for the side. Yuvraj (32nd) was the lone scorer for Stepping Stone. 

DPS beat GMSSS, Sector 40, 1-0. Chitkara Internationalblanked AKSIPS 3-0, while the hosts beat St Stephen’s School 1-0.  — TNS
