Around 450 students from various nursing colleges attended a seminar on global career opportunity in nursing at the Rattan Group of Institutions here today.
The seminar was inaugurated by Punjab Governor VP Singh Badnore. Dr Daniel Wilson, president, Western University of Health Sciences, Dr Mary M. Lopez, dean, Ivy C. Tuason, associate dean, College of Graduate Nursing, Western University of Health Sciences, California, US, and TJ Barring, president and CEO of Jeev Healthcare Limited, US, SL Aggarwal, chairman and managing director, RGI, and Prof Davinder Kaur, principal, College of Nursing, were also present on the occasion.
In the seminar, the dignitaries from abroad informed the students about various nursing courses in the US and prospects of MSN and PhD programme and online programmes related to the profession.
In his address, Badnore said such seminars helped students to upgrade their knowledge and skills required to face the challenges and work at the international level. The Governor also talked about the drug de-addiction programme and role of nurses in this field.
