A Class VII student allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her house in the Inderpuri area, west Delhi, a police official said today.

Her mother suspects that the girl might have taken the extreme step because she was scolded by a school teacher. She said the girl was asking her to change the school for the past three months.

However, the police said an investigation was underway for ascertaining the reason.

The girl committed suicide on Saturday when her mother, who is an advocate, had gone to the court, a senior police official said.

A suicide note was recovered from the spot. In the note, the girl has blamed the school. The girl's mother has also alleged that she was told by a girl, who was studying with her daughter and staying in the neighbourhood, that her class teacher and biology teacher scolded her.

The girl before committing suicide wrote on her hand that her death should be informed to her school teachers and also wrote that "lord Krishna I am coming" and "I love you mom".

Meanwhile, the school management in its statement said the school is fully cooperating with the investigating authority and is also conducting an internal inquiry.

The Inderpuri Police Station after conducting the postmortem, handover the body to the parents.
